We didn't expect much because of the price, but we were still underwhelmed. The room phone doesn't work, we've found 20+ bugs (& 1 lizard) in our room, the beds are less comfortable than floor sleep, and about half of the wall electrical sockets were zapping/popping. We literally had to unhook electrical things throughout the room just so we weren't stressed over potentially burning to death in our sleep. Nicht gut, Econo Lodge, nicht gut. For the price, we should have gotten a room at Super 8. Now we know.

This was a pleasant experience and will use it for future stays to visit our son at college.

When I woke up the morning after staying here, I had a large swollen mass under my left arm that was fevered and sore to the touch. At first, I thought it was a coincidental swollen lymph node, but when I wound up in the hospital a week later, I learned otherwise. Long story short: I'm a stomach sleeper and had my armpits allllllll on the bedding of this room; at the hospital, I was told I'd contracted a staph infection, and I ended up spending 10 days in the hospital being treated for that + the diabetic ketoacidosis it induced. The doctors agreed (of course) that it's impossible to pinpoint the cause with 100% accuracy, but literally every medical expert agreed that this motel was likely the cause.

Fr friendly staff but the restroom in the lobby was really disgusting smelled like rats. The shower head was calcified over and the floor to the shower was a really slippery. The rooms were painted bright green and bright yellow and look like they've seen better days. I know it was a discount hotel but basic cleanliness would have been appreciated

So, in retrospect: Nicht gut times infinity, Econo Lodge. I ended up missing out on the remainder of my summer because of you, and now, I'm trying to convince the government to help me pay my $110,000 hospital bill.

Terrible experience. I don't know what was worse, the dead kitten in the grass next to the pool, how gross the pool was when we got there or the fact that they stole our money without saying they were taking it off the card first, then our money magically disappeared. The man at the front desk was so rude. Would NOT reccomend. We stayed at the western inn almost next door after our terrible stay here and it was so much better.

AC noisy. The only thing good i can say is they allow pets. Oh, the shower was hot. Limited T.V. options. Free Wi-Fi, in a motel you would be crazy to use it. Can't imagine its secure. Bring your own pillow. Calling those "throw cushions" in the bed pillows is a stretch.

***Edit, Sept 27*** I went ahead and swapped my 2-star rating for a 1-star, given what went down __after__.
